Compost is important to us. We want to save the school money, and promote sustainable living at the same time. The food that is left over from our meals on campus should not go into a landfill. It should be collected to make nutritious soil for healthy gardens/farms. We plan to increase the number of composting bins on campus to make it easier for students, just like recycling. Look for e3 and Greenlove at East Commons to compost your leftover food!

The SDSU campus plazas and walkways are normally a bike-free, but we don't think that's right. Because we want to encourage students and faculty to use their bikes to commute, we campaigned for a series of bike lanes throughout campus. Now it's easier for anyone to bike to campus. For more information, visit our Bike Lane page.

SDSU's own Farmers' Market is held every Thursday between 10am and 3 pm. Take a break from the usual restaurants and coffee shops and enjoy fresh food prepared right in front of you. Look for information, free fruit, bike stand, and Green Campus at our e3 Booth.

In order to promote sustainable habits, we are offering reusable containers at our e3 booth every Farmers' Market. This prevents the use of paper and plastic plates that are only good once, and then are sent to the landfill.
